What to expect.

First, a conflicts check — before any details, I confirm I'm free to talk with you. Then the substance: your situation in broad strokes, what's at stake, what worries you most, and an honest first read from me on the terrain ahead. It's also a fit conversation in both directions. I keep the docket small enough to handle every matter personally, and the right cases for this practice are the ones where senior attention changes the outcome — a business to value, a parenting plan worth fighting for, an estate that has to be traced. If yours would be better served elsewhere, I'll say so — and point you well. The consultation is a paid meeting, not a free call, because it is real advice — and once we have talked through your marriage in detail, I will not represent your spouse in it. My assistant will quote the fee when we schedule.

Useful to have on hand if we speak: a rough picture of the estate (businesses, properties, accounts), any agreements already in place, and — if a case is already filed — the key papers. Don't worry about polish; that's what the work is for.

Messages here are reviewed promptly — typically the same business day — and handled with discretion. My assistant manages review and intake scheduling, so that when we talk, it's me: prepared, with the conflicts check already done. (For the careful: contacting this office doesn't create an attorney-client relationship until we agree in writing, but the discretion starts immediately.) If your situation is urgent, say so in the subject line — and if anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 first; the legal system is the second call. And a note on discretion: reaching out creates no court filing and no obligation to hire anyone. Sometimes the most valuable conversation is the one you have a year before you need it.
